Round 6 Match Review

This weekend, the Souths ventured to UAA Park, Gold Coast, for a big day of footy  against the formidable Burleigh Bears. It was a weekend filled with highs, lows, and lessons for our teams as they battled it out on the field.

In the U19 Mal Meninga Cup clash, our squad faced a tough challenge against the Bears, ultimately falling short with a final score of 46-24. Despite the setback, the boys showed resilience and determination throughout the game.

On the brighter side, our BMD Premiership squad showcased an impressive performance, clinching a hard-fought victory with a final score of 24-18 against the Bears. The team's cohesive play and unwavering determination were evident as they battled it out on the field. With this triumph, they've not only secured a crucial win but also bolstered their confidence as they continue their journey in the competition.

Meanwhile, in the Hostplus Cup encounter, our team started off with a strong showing, but the Bears proved to be formidable opponents. Despite a valiant effort, we were unable to maintain the momentum, ultimately falling short with a final score of 34-16. It's a tough loss to swallow, but it serves as a valuable learning experience for the team.
