Souths Logan produced their most controlled performance of the year to dominate the home team. The Sunshine Coast team was pinned in their own half for long periods of time. An early barrage served to take plenty out of the Falcons making their reply less convincing. Their only respite being the long clearing kicks which was returned with interest from fullback by Kenny Hill.
The Magpies halves combination of Connor Toia and Mitchell Cronin clicked into gear to control the go forward especially through Elija Palupe and Tom Clark Kennedy. Quick shifts of the football and some great line running from Elisha Palupe had tries on the board. Mason Pakuru continued his extraordinary try scoring feats with another two clinical finishes diving over in the corner.
The flashy feet tonight belonged to Nick Doyle who bamboozled the defence dancing his way to the try line. But no try was more spectacular than the effort from Jayden Mullholland who lept high in the air for a cross field kick to catch it tightly on the second grab and place it down. Most pleasing from the result was the positive contribution from all players. Special mention though can be made of the performances from Elisha Palupe, Tom Clark Kennedy, Mitchell Cronin, Connor Toia and Nick Doyle.
