Message from the Club CEO

We had many responses from yesterday’s ‘Call to Arms’ from Mohammad, which the club truly appreciates. The club is deeply indebted to those that have pledged their support so far, and their response has led me to pen my own passionate plea. Thanks for your time, and any assistance is appreciated.

Dear Supporter,

This is a letter I had hoped I would never have to write.

The club needs your Support Right Now!

If you share the PASSION, the PRIDE, the MATESHIP and the LOVE that I feel, then now is the time to step forward.

For many years we have successfully kept the club alive, with people asking ‘HOW’ and ‘WHY’ do you do it?

The answer is simple – we LOVE OUR CLUB and we hope you still share the LOVE that is the Magpies.

As the council embarks on the redevelopment of Davies Park, and our attempt to raise much needed revenue with our disappointing Ballymore Trial, the club faces an uncertain future. In the past when we have been in trouble, we have always looked to our STRENGTH and our TRADITION, and that lies in all of us as Past Players and Supporters of the Magpies.

We are asking you as a Magpie, past or present, young or old, to take the opportunity to help the Magpie Family in our time of need. If the club can’t garner the support, then we may well have to close the doors on our proud 103 year history.

While your financial support is invaluable, we want you to be a part of the FAMILY again and support the club that has meant SO MUCH TO SO MANY.
