EDDIE 046 - Looking Up
Been a busy little Eagle the past few weeks. Hope you've all missed ole Eddie. State of Origin time 'n all means I've again been on the job with the mighty Maroons. Mal and Mick have had me on special projects. So top secret I can't even tell my faithful readers.

EDDIE 045 - Just Ring!
Great night out for the Black and White Club last Friday at Davies. The Old boys giving an insight into what the club means to them to the young fellas. And it just goes to show again that old story of the young bull and the old bull. Young Sunshine laying down the challenge to Bretto on the Jimmys. The club made plenty, Bretto was happy and Sunshine was left to nurse the headache.

EDDIE 044 - Paint the Nest Black and White
Too long away I got back down to Davies on the weekend. First thing that greeted me was a rather large lad up on the trainers bench icing down his hammy. Bloody hell I thought Tooks has got a monster playing up front for him. Turns out that it was Tank who had thrown the hammy from a bit of over zealous managing. He'll miss a week the physio's report said. Fortunately with the split round there's no game for the Maggies.

EDDIE 043 - Hungry Like the Wolf
There's a bear in there and a panther as well, there's an official who howls and memberships swell. Yes the Edmeister is a poet. But that about sums up the past weeks.

EDDIE 042 - I'm Back
I'm back in town again folks. Enough of this rain eh. Whilst my old mates out Dirranbandi way look forward to a spot of rain this is ridiculous. The Eagle and his flock went out for a bit of R and R in the bush before the real agmes begin and bugger me I got stuck out there. Been digging levees and filling sand bags for a week.

EDDIE 041 - Hit Me with Your Best Shot
The first shots in anger were fired on Friday night... The young blokes were up against the boys from Ippy in the 16s and 18s out at Brandon Park. You couldn't get closer to the action out there. Both got the chocolates,. Both teams appear to have a pretty good 7 that the other boys get in behind. I've spent some quality time with the young éns getting them mentally prepared to do whatever it takes to win. The 18s showed me something toughing out a win when injuries had them down on troops. I'll get back out to Brandon this Fiday night again for round 2 against the tiggers.

040 EDDIE - Saturday Night Fever
Magpies let us rejoice... or is that reJoyce. What a big surprise to see the big man back from Canberra at training the other night. Seems the lifestyle at the Magpies was too much to resist. Looking trimmer and fitter than ever. He set a high benchmark for the other boys to chase in the conditioning drills. The Sherrif... well he had that warm and fuzzy glow about him.

039 EDDIE - The New Sheriff!
I knew right away when I made the drive into training to oversee the pre-season slog that a new sheriff was in town. The magpie van was in a new parking space, sparkling clean and with the back practically empty.

EDDIE 038 - Young Stars and Gang Stars
Mr T. He hasn't changed his hair do in all this time...With an air of expectation I made my way up to Sunny Coast to watch the Colts play in their GF. I can tell you that there was more security there than at a Commonwealth Bank on Pension day. The boys played great but were just beaten by the clock whilst staging a fighting comeback to try and take the silverware back home. I know the big guy was disappointed in the result but proud of the fighting qualities from the young blokes.

EDDIE 029 - Wash Your Hands Jeffrey
The Magpies returned to their spiritual home at Davies for the first time this year on Sunday. I had a redback in my pocket courtesy of Cane Cutter Ken from Brams and the boys big win in Mackay.
